I started with her as I had never heard of restorative yoga before and I had tried all sorts of classes, treatments etc for my chronic mobility issues. “Mondays are now greeted with more enthusiasm than ever before as I know at the end of the day, I will be able to enjoy yoga with Charlotte. Two things make it really worthwhile for me. Along with her amazing yoga knowledge and skills, Charlotte has a special quality which enables a peaceful and calm atmosphere during our class. For me, with a somewhat skewed body – scoliosis, arthritis etc and very limited stretch, it is the first time I have actually enjoyed yoga in a group environment. “I attended one of Charlotte's day retreats in her lovely home on Lamma Island. As a mother to young children I'm unable to go away for long retreats, so I valued the chance for a day retreat and Charlotte was a wonderful host and teacher. As a yoga teacher myself I really appreciate Charlotte's in depth knowledge of the body as well as her sequencing and pacing. Charlotte has a calming and grounding voice and presence. She is genuine and authentic in her teaching which makes it easy to trust her. We did a more invigorating flow in the morning catered to different levels of practice and paced in such a way that I believe we were comfortably moving for 90-120 mins. After a delicious healthy meal and great conversations, we had a gentle yin practice in the afternoon assisted by lots of props (love props!) By the end I was blissed out and by the looks of it I think everyone else was as well! I left charlotte's feeling recharged, centered and invigorated!”
“I started yoga therapy with Charlotte to help with my lower back pain. We worked slowly together gradually building up my strength and confidence. After a while my back improved and I found that regular yoga meant that I no longer needed treatment for my tight neck & shoulders either. It's been about 2 years now and I am free of back pain and have enjoyed regular group classes with Charlotte as well as my weekly personal session. If either of us are travelling and I can't do my yoga sessions for a couple of weeks, I really notice a difference in both my body and my mind. I am less bendy than an iron girder encased in reinforced concrete. I am also quite a lot broken in 2 major joints and "pretzel"yoga would break me further. Yet, I have benefited HUGELY from my classes with Charlotte over the last three years and miss them an awful lot when I am away from Hong Kong. Charlotte makes yoga accessible to even the most hardened and inflexibly yoga resistor.
